Week 3

Solar Plexus

The solar plexus is likened to be the sun of the body. It is actually a network of nerves located behind the stomach. According to Haanel, it is the center of energy from which life and energy flows and it is the organ of the subconscious mind. It’s what gives us self-esteem, self control, and intuition.

Our thoughts are like magnets. And it is through conscious thought that we have to power to radiate love, health, strength, harmony and prosperity.

But when our thoughts are scattered or are filled with fear, jealousy, insecurities, anger or other negative emotions ~ it prevents us from letting our light shine.

Knowledge is power. Don’t let anything stop you — practice changing your thoughts and let your light shine.

Relax today

Week 3

Meditation

This week during our daily meditation we are asked to relax. Most of us feel the stress of daily life and forget to take the time to relax. Learning to rest and relax refreshes our mind and our body and helps us make better decisions. Try this for 15-20 minutes today.

~ For your exercise this week, I will ask you to go one step further. I want you to not only be perfectly still, and inhibit all thought as far as possible, but relax, let go, let the muscles take their normal condition; this will remove all pressure from the nerves, and eliminate that tension which so frequently produces physical exhaustion.~

I’m getting better and better

Week 2

By taking time this week to sit quietly,  we become aware of just how much chatter we have going on in our heads. This week we took the time to try and silence and stop our negative thoughts of worry and fear, if only for 15 minutes. These are the first steps in realizing the law of attraction. For it is through the discipline of changing our subconscience thoughts that we change our outside world.

Choose a positive affirmation or “happy thought” to replace your negative ones. A favorite one is, “Every day in every way I am getting better and better.”

New Habits

Subconscious Mind

Week 2

The subconscious relies on the conscious mind to prevent it from misguided ideas and false impressions.

The subconscious can not argue, so many times it accepts a false suggestion as true, overcoming beliefs of the subconscious becomes very difficult.

Worry, fear, poverty and inharmony often come about because of false suggestions. We believe something about our life that isn’t true and it prevents us from taking action. Much of the pain and hurt we are dealing with, are really only misguided thoughts.

Using a “strong counter suggestion – frequently repeated” and forming new habits can be used to overcome these false narratives from running in our minds. But it takes work and determination.

Begin at the End

Week 2

Chapter two begins with, “Our difficulties are largely due to confused ideas and ignorance of our true interests.” How many of us are confused about what we want? So we allow someone else’s ideas about our life control us. Are we ignorant or lazy? Maybe a little bit of both. In life, we should begin with the end in mind. Get a clear view of what you want to happen in your life and start there.

Then we read paragraph 3. The subconscious soul, like a benevolent stranger, works and makes provision for our benefit, pouring only the mature fruit into our lap; thus ultimate analysis of thought processes shows that the subconscious is the theatre of the most important mental phenomena.”

So our life is a movie, a reflection of our thoughts. But most of us haven’t been thinking about- or planning our future. We are too busy working and paying the bills rather than working on designing a life.

Being aware is the first step.
