MKS: Your Journey

Hey everyone,

I stopped posting a few weeks ago and have begun working on a project I will be launching in January. I will begin posting again regularly in January with some new insights and ideas about the master key system and how I can guide you thru it.

In the meantime, if you are on this journey I am curious; what week are you on? are you having any difficulties? Do you have any questions I could help you with??

The Affirmation

Week 4

Whenever negative thoughts or worry enter our mind this week, consciously  replace them with a planned affirmation. One of the most powerful affirmations we can use is, “I can be what I will to be.”

Each time we repeat it, we should realize who the “I” is. Saying this affirmation, we recognize that using “concentrated thought” on the things we set our hearts on – transforms our desires from hope to manifestation. The “I can” becomes “I will” and as we persist, we begin to see the actions we must take in order to bring about the change we desire to fruition. Once we identify the actions, the key is to act upon them.

9. If you cannot do these things it is because you have thus far not made the necessary effort. Now is the time to make the effort. The result will be exactly in proportion to the effort expended. One of the strongest affirmations which you can use for the purpose of strengthening the will and realizing your power to accomplish, is, “I can be what I will to be.”

10. Every time you repeat it realize who and what this “I” is; try to come into a thorough understanding of the true nature of the “I”; if you do, you will become invincible; that is, provided that your objects and purposes are constructive and are therefore in harmony with the creative principle of the Universe.

Designing a life

Chapter two begins with, "Our difficulties are largely due to confused ideas and ignorance of our true interests." How many of us are confused about what we want? So we allow someone else's ideas about our life control us. Are we ignorant or lazy? Maybe a little bit of both.

Then we read paragraph 3. "The subconscious soul, like a benevolent stranger, works and makes provision for our benefit, pouring only the mature fruit into our lap; thus ultimate analysis of thought processes shows that the subconscious is the theatre of the most important mental phenomena."

So our life is a movie, a reflection of our thoughts. But most of us haven't been thinking about- or planning our future. We are too busy working and paying the bills rather than working on designing a life.

Being aware is the first step.

Master Key System


On Monday July 31, we will begin with “Lesson One”. Each weekend, you will be asked to read one chapter of “The Master Key System” by Charles Haanel. This was one of the first books to mention "law of attraction". Originally published in 1916, MKS (master Key System) was a weekly correspondence course designed to help achieve success and happiness.

Each Monday there will be a post with the meditation exercise. The meditation exercises work very well when done each morning before you rise and each evening before you go to sleep. If you have time in your day, you might want to try it again as suggested in the book.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week there will be posts reviewing the chapter and sharing thoughts. You are encouraged to comment, ask questions and be involved.

This will be a 10 week Journey that will give you a glimpse of the law of attraction and how you can use it in your life.

Begin by reviewing chapter one.

Using Affirmations

Week 9

What can a simple affirmation do for you?? According to “The Master Key System” they can bring about harmonious conditions. Does it work? Let’s give try it this week and see what happens.  Repeat this affirmation, ” I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy” 

Some will say, that’s too much to remember! But if you dedicate yourself to this exercise it will be quite easy. Begin memorizing it by saying “I am … adding the first word, then add the next until you are able to repeat the affirmation.  Keep repeating in your mind until it becomes habit. 

Now that you’ve memorized it, throughout your day today and for the next few weeks, whenever you have thoughts of worry, fear, or anxiety repeat the affirmation. Give it a try. 

*just a quick note, the way I memorize phrases is to grab a paper and pen and try to write it from memory. If I get stuck I’ll check back and try again from the beginning until I can write it out 3 times without looking. -Sally
