I Am

Week 4

Part of the lesson this week is about the power of the “I” when you speak or think. For example when you say “I think …” you are telling your brain to think. When you say, “I go” you are telling your body to go.

I would like to share a poem I wrote a few years ago:


“I AM”

I am worried, I am angry, I am stressed,

I am lonely, I’m invisible, I’m depressed.

I am sad, I am embarrassed, I’m afraid,

I am worthless, I’m pathetic, I’m dismayed.

I’m too lazy, I’m too tired, I’m too cold,

I’m too stupid, I’m too broken, I’m too old.

I am peaceful, I’m encouraged, I am strong,

I am loving, I’m inspired, I belong.

I am joyful, I’m courageous, I am brave,

I am worthy, I am faithful, I am saved.

I’m too precious, I’m too beautiful, I’m too free,

I’m too gracious, I’m too passionate, I’m too me …

“I AM” through,
